Simulcast allows buyers and sellers to participate in an auction online. Virtual buyers gain entrance into the lanes and sellers can represent their vehicles remotely.
Why use Simulcast?
Simulcast helps you:
Pop-up blockers are most likely responsible for this issue. To solve this problem press the "Control" key as you click "Enter Sale." This will override the pop-up blocker for this instance and allow you to access the Simulcast sale.
You will receive a confirmation email with a list of the vehicles you purchased once you log out. If you would like to add Post-Sale Inspections, Transportation information or any payment information, you can fax that to the location as necessary.
The arbitration policies of the individual location you are participating in apply.
As when attending a physical auction, vehicles commonly leave the auction lane before bidding is completed.
The Dealership or buyer is in inactive or unauthorized status at that particular location. You will need to call the location to resolve this.
You will need to contact Dealer Registration at the location to activate your name in the Dealership record.
There is another session of Simulcast under your login that is active. Be certain that you have logged out of the session you were in previously by completely closing the window. Also, be certain that someone else is not logged in with your user name and password.
Check your volume level and that external speakers are correctly connected to your computer. Also, be certain that you install the plug-in when prompted.
You are not registered correctly at the location you are attempting to participate in. Contact the Dealer Registration Department to resolve.
Your Internet connection speed is not adequate to support faster video delivery rates.
If you are participating with a slower Internet connection, bids will sometimes arrive after the auctioneer has already sold the vehicle. Please attempt to bid earlier in the bidding process in order to alert the auctioneer that you have interest in that vehicle.
The correct franchise code needed to participate in that particular sale is missing from your Dealer record. Please call the Dealer Registration Department at the location to resolve.
We currently do not support Internet Explorer 8 or FireFox.
This guide provides information to network administrators about the ports and IP addresses used to access Simulcast from behind a firewall or when using a proxy.
The Simulcast application runs on an application server and the video and audio are streamed to the client from separate A/V streaming servers. Any customer who wants to explicitly allow Simulcast on their network should allow the following ports and IP addresses.
| Description | IP Address | TCP Ports |
|---|---|---|

The Simulcast A/V stream is a persistent TCP connection. Multiple Simulcast A/V streams can use up all available resources on a Proxy server. Therefore we recommend that all traffic to http://video.manheim.com not be proxied.
To set up a proxy server for accessing Simulcast, you must allow the ports listed in the table above to http://video.Manheim.com and http://simulcast.Manheim.com.
